Fathead Dough Recipe for The Best Keto Pizza and Buns

Who doesn’t love pizza? Did you know that being on a keto diet doesn't mean you have to give up on this delicious food!

This keto pizza recipe is definitely our favourite weekend recipe. Eating something amazing without having the feelings of guilt… Okay, maybe it is not a meal for every day but whether it’s to enjoy with a group of friends or family, a romantic date night, or just for you with some Netflix; this recipe is perfect. It has the greatness from pizza but keto approved! So what are you waiting for? This keto dough recipe for 1 pizza for around 8 slices is a must-try.

Ingredients

Ingredients for the crust

  • 90 grams of shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 45 grams of white almond flour

  • 1 ¼ tablespoon of cream cheese

  • Half an egg beaten

  • Pinch of salt to taste

  • ½ teaspoon of rosemary / Italian herb mix

  • ½ tablespoon white vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Ingredients for the topping

  • 50 millilitres of unsweetened tomato sauce

  • ½ teaspoon of dried oregano, chili flakes, and garlic powder

  • 50 grams of shredded cheese to taste

  • Fresh basil to taste

  • Your choice of toppings such as: pepperoni, bell pepper, salmon, olives, minced meat, mushrooms or ham

Remember that you are the king / queen of your keto pizza, so don't hesitate to experiment!

Instructions to make the best keto pizza

  1. Mix the cheese, baking powder, almond flour, cream cheese, herbs of your choice and salt in

    a microwaveable bowl and stir everything together. Microwave on high for 1 minute.

  2. Stir the ingredients together and microwave again on high for another 30 seconds.

  3. Take out the bowl, add the egg and vinegar and mix everything with a non-stick rubber spatula to make a dough-like consistency.

  4. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celcius.

  5. Place the dough in between 2 pieces of baking paper and use a large flat-bottomed pan or chopping board to press on, to form a thing large crust. Wet your hands with some olive oil to give the dough a final round shape. Poke a few holes in the dough with a fork.

  6. Slide the keto pizza crust onto a baking tray with baking paper and bake it in the oven for 12-15 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius, or until the pizza is a golden brown.

  7. Take out the tray; flip the pizza and bake for another 5 minutes.

  8. When the pizza is ready, spread a thin layer of the tomato sauce and put the cheese of taste on top. Add the seasoning (chili flakes, garlic powder) and then your favorite toppings and bake for another 8 minutes on 220C.

  9. Take out the keto pizza; sprinkle it with oregano and let cool for 5 minutes before cutting it.

  10. Enjoy to the fullest!!
